Ok if you get some steel string, take apart your tivo....

Naaah just kidding...

I was watching DIY the other day and Handmade Music came on, I stopped watching it some time ago because I could only watch Dudenbostel build the same instruments so many times before I went crazy (no offense Lynn, I LOVE your work).

They have started to air new episodes, the one I saw they where making a guitar for the lead singer in Los Lonely boys, it wasn't my cup of tea (to me the guitar was ugly) but First Act guitars was cool to see and the guitar sounded very very cool when played. So I've set them up again in the Tivo to try and catch all the new shows...

I saw an episode where they built violins a while back which was pretty cool except that sometimes I think people take themselves far to seriously (especially violin makers )... and I won't even start on Banjos!! But it's good to see some new stuff showing up...

Just thought you would like to know

I watched that episode as well and I had the exact same reaction. Ugly guitar but great sound! I've also seen the ones with the violins and those guys/gals do take themselves seriously. The dulcimer and banjo episodes are good as well.

Thanks for the heads up about new episodes! I also got sick of the Dudenbostel repeats (no offense to Lynn) and stopped recording Handmade Music for that reason. I'll have to put it back on my season pass manager.
